Re-dedication of Chandler’s Ford War Memorial

The re-dedication service for the recently renovated Chandler’s Ford War Memorial took place this afternoon (Sunday 19th October at 3pm) outside St. Boniface Church at the War Memorial.

Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club and Central Precinct

The Central Precinct of Chandler’s Ford is a paradise for snooker players. Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club is located at the back of the Central Precinct, facing Ahmad Tea company.

It is the last remaining snooker club in Winchester, Chandler’s Ford and Eastleigh.

Asante coffee shops were set up by Paul and Shirley Barter five years ago. Another Asante coffee shop is in Romsey.

New Ramalley Hall Lego Brick Cufflink Fundraiser

Last weekend, I learned about the new Ramalley Hall fundraiser in Chandler’s Ford.

The second Chandler’s Ford Ramalley Scout Group was raising awareness and money for the build of a new community hall. In total they require £270,000.

Reindeer visited Chandler’s Ford today. Cute reindeer carved by Matthew Swan marked the Christmas shopping season in Chandler’s Ford this afternoon.

Chandler’s Ford is changing. Recent changes are in its centre, wherever that is, its public buildings, new community halls, library, parks, shops and recreational facilities. Even Eastleigh Borough Council has recently moved into new premises.

New Grover Butchers At Fryern Arcade

Tony is back. Now we have new butchers at the Fryern Arcade in Chandler’s Ford.

The manager is Tony Padfield, from Highfield, who used to run Dukes Butchers just across the road at The Mall in Chandler’s Ford for 11 years.

The Wilson brothers, Chandler's Ford War Memorial.

This month I thought I would focus on the Wilson brothers: Major and acting Lieutenant Colonel Harry Stuart Wilson, Royal Munster Fusiliers and Lieutenant Commander John Skinner Wilson, HMS Indefatigable.

Chandler's Ford Fryern Arcade new post office.

After months of delay, the Fryern Arcade post office in Chandler’s Ford will be moving across to the other side: 6-7 Fryern Arcade, and open at 1pm on 29th August.

Today I spoke to one builder who renovated the new site. I walked in to see the layout of the new shop.
