New Ramalley Hall Lego Brick Cufflink Fundraiser

October 7, 2014 By Janet Williams 8 Comments

Last weekend, I learned about the new Ramalley Hall fundraiser in Chandler’s Ford.

The second Chandler’s Ford Ramalley Scout Group was raising awareness and money for the build of a new community hall. In total they require £270,000.

I met the group at the Hiltingbury St. Martins Craft & Cakes Community Event.

Ramalley Community Hall is the home of the second Chandler’s Ford (Ramalley) Scouts and Ramalley Pre-School.

The planning permission for a new building has been granted.

Entrance to Chandler's Ford Second Ramalley Scout Hut, Ramalley Pre-School, and Ramalley Cemetery: Ramalley Lane, off Hursley Road.

Liz Gault told me that whilst they hope to apply to different funding avenues, the Scouts are also making a huge effort to raise funds themselves.

Last weekend they raised funds in a fun way: selling mugs filled with surprise gifts for children and adults, guessing how many jelly beans in a jar, and naming the huge teddy.

The bear went to a boy called Peter, who had invested £7.00 of his pocket money to win the bear.

“We also launched our latest fundraiser, which looks to the wider community for support. ”

“The Lego brick cufflinks are a fun and nostalgic idea and we hope to raise £4,000. We thank the Rev. Dr. Ian Bird for the first sale of the day. Also, a local company, who have asked us to provide a quotation for 70 pairs with their logo printed on the cufflinks.”

Now you can support the Second Ramalley Scout Group by buying the unique Lego Brick cufflinks.

Lego cufflinksThe Second Ramalley Scout Group aims to raise £4,000 with their Lego Brick Cufflink fundraiser.

Made with real Lego bricks, these cufflinks are nostalgic, and would make a lovely, retro gift.

The cufflinks are only £5.00 per pair and include a lovely cufflink box.

To order the Lego Brick Cufflinks, email Liz Gault at cryocoolers@yahoo.co.uk.

Thank you Liz. The cufflinks are beautiful! What a great fundraising idea. They’ll make great Christmas gifts, or a special gift for those men who have already got every gadget. Love the choice of colours. I think these will become collectible items.

Good luck with the fundraising, and please keep Chandler’s Ford residents informed of your ongoing fundraising events.
