Have Your Say on New Ward Boundaries for Eastleigh

The independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England is asking people across Eastleigh for their help to draw up a new pattern of council wards for Eastleigh Borough Council.

Last month, while waiting for the bus, I noticed a bright yellow object on the outside wall of the Methodist Church.

It contains a piece of life-saving equipment, a defibrillator.

Mims Davies MP Makes Maiden Speech in Parliament

Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has vowed to fight for better transport infrastructure and health services in the constituency during her maiden speech to Parliament.

Mims, who made the address on her 40th birthday on the 2nd of June, said she would also work hard to ensure less traffic pollution.

Air Conditioning in the Ritchie Memorial Hall

The Chandler’s Ford Community Association agreed at a Management Committee meeting this week to install air conditioning in the Ritchie Memorial Hall.

With several hot summers behind us coupled with full houses as a result of increasing popularity of our productions, the temperature in the Ritchie Hall was often exceeding 30 degrees Centigrade. New 0300 Phone Numbers for Hampshire County Council

New 0300 numbers for Hampshire County Council from February 2015.

Hampshire County Council has adopted 0300 numbers for contacting most of its services.

The main advantage (to us) of a 0300 number is the price.

I received an email advising me that my European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is about to expire, so I thought I better renew it.

I followed the link and was taken to a website to enter my application. Don’t worry, this isn’t going to end horribly wrong; it was a legitimate email and a legitimate website.
