Ted is Found!

November 17, 2015 By Janet Williams 2 Comments

This must be the happiest news ever!

Ted is found! Ted is safe!

The missing Cocker Spaniel which was lost in Knightwood since last Thursday was found safe at about 3pm this afternoon.

After 5 days, Ted has now been reunited with his owner, Hannah Reynard.

Ted had been missing since Thursday morning 12th November. He was apparently spooked and ran away from his walker.

The first Facebook message by Hannah Reynard on 12th November was: “Lost Dog!!! Our beloved Ted got spooked at 8am this morning and bolted while out with his dog walker. He ran towards Ramalley Woods from Glendowan Road in Chandler’s Ford!…”

Since then, hundreds of people from Chandler’s Ford were helping in finding Ted, sharing information, shedding tears, and now they are all jumping with joy!

If you have a Facebook account, you could see the drama unfolding on the Find Ted page.

Come on Fed

Ted is found

Ted is a male Cocker Spaniel (neutered), with white crest on chest. He was lost in Knightwood Forest, Valley Park, in Chandler’s Ford last Thursday.

The search for Ted was dramatic as Ted is not a local dog, so was extremely vulnerable. Traps were set up in Knightwood forest.

Many people had spotted Ted, but he was so frightened that he kept running away from people.

Sightings of Ted – all over Chandler’s Ford!

Sightings of Ted were reported and updated across social media, and people were actively looking for him everywhere in Chandler’s Ford.

ScenterBarks shared on 14th of November: “Keep sharing, he’s still in the c/ford area but running scared. We have set food traps & watchers at the station so anyone who can look around the surrounding area is fab, we’ll try & keep the station area quiet.”

The search for Ted intensified, and the search was co-ordinated.

On the 15th of November, there was a posting:“Girls at the Chandler’s Ford station now with maps and the plan of action for this afternoon. Ted may have been spotted in the woods by Ramalley where he went missing on Thursday morning. Remember to keep quiet, get low, don’t call his name, don’t give him eye contact. Smelly foods will attract…”

On the 16th of November, there was another message: “Please keep your dogs on a lead in the Knightwood forest where Ted went missing. There is a trap to finally catch our little pooch.”

Of course the police was alerted.

Eastleigh Police tweeted this dramatic search.
