The annual Chandler’s Ford Joint Charities Christmas Market brings the sort of stability, unity, and friendship that we all need at times of crisis. Charley Desson from Chandler’s Ford is in need of our support.
Charley has lived in Chandler’s Ford her whole life. She went to Thornden School and later Barton Peveril College.
Charley has been fighting cancer for two years. In 2016 Charley was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She said in a Facebook post on Chandler’s Ford Friendly Neighbours that “I’m now at the point where paying for treatment is sadly a very real possibility for me. Today’s Fryern Funtasia in Chandler’s Ford was fun, as usual, and it was very well managed. Congratulations! The Fryern Funtasia is a community event organised by local volunteers and businesses, with the support of the Chandler’s Ford Parish Council. The Fryern Funtasia has become one of the most popular local community events in recent years, and it is in its 6th year.

On the 18th and 19th of November 2016 The Race Centre, in the Central Precinct of Chandler’s Ford, ran a 24 hour endurance race to raise money for Children in Need.
