Sailing into Christmas with the Jubilee Sailing

Christmas is a busy time of year for most charities and the Jubilee Sailing trust (JST) is no exception.

Life aboard a Tall Ship: Jubilee Sailing Trust’s Ship Lord Nelson

I was on board Lord Nelson ship at the Seed2Sailing – the launch party for this year’s Jubilee Sailing Trust Autumn Pumpkin Festival and Scarecrow Avenue, which will take place on Saturday 8th Oct 2016.

The Autumn Pumpkin Festival at the Royal Victoria Country Park

Now in its 18th year, the Jubilee Sailing Trust’s family festival event is a wonderful celebration of all things pumpkin related.

The day (10th October 2015) was opened by Eastleigh Mayor Jane Welsh and her husband to the skirling pipes of the Southern Jacobites Pipe Band.

Atlantic Crossing With Jubilee Sailing Trust

First – a bit about the Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST).

The charity was formed in 1978 and has two tall ships (Lord Nelson and Tenacious) that have been specially adapted so that anyone over 16 can crew.
