The pandemic has made us so much more neighbourly …

… or has it? Perhaps it depends who we think of as neighbours! A famous question rings down the ages – ‘Who is my neighbour?’

We live on a pretty small planet. Far-off countries come nightly into our living rooms – no longer do we know nothing about them. We know that in Yemen, a civil war has decimated health systems, provoked widespread hunger, and killed almost 250,000 people. It’s a conflict that requires immediate aid. In Syria over 11 million people are in dire need of humanitarian assistance. Both war-torn countries are on the brink of severe famine. So is the Sahel region of Africa, and Southern Sudan. Quiz Doubles Money for Christian Aid

Quiz participants at Saint Martin’s Church, Chandler’s Ford cheered to hear that the UK Government will double the money they raised for Christian Aid’s Christmas appeal.

Chandler’s Ford Slum Survivors

Over 1 billion people live in extreme poverty every day. Whether that be in a slum, mud hut or on the streets, it is a situation we are not exposed to or have imminent threat of in our society. But in the scriptures God calls us as a church to continually love, serve and help the poor.

Christian Aid Refugee Crisis Appeal Football Tournament

A Refugee Crisis Appeal Football Tournament will be taking place in Chandler’s Ford on Saturday 10th of October. You are welcome to take part.

Great News! Gibson’s Card Gallery at The Mall has re-opened.

Gibson’s Card Gallery was closed in April for a while, but re-opened just a few days ago.

Gibson’s Card Gallery is one of the oldest independent shops in Chandler’s Ford. It specialises in birthday cards, balloons, and gifts.

Fairtrade Fashion Show: Who Made Your Clothes?

Last Friday in Chandler’s Ford, there was a fashion show of a difference.

The Fairtrade Fashion Show brought many residents to St. Martin in the Wood church, where we learnt about the importance of buying Fairtrade products, and had a chance to appreciate and buy a wide range of beautiful Fairtrade clothes, jewellery and accessories, toys, cards, and gifts.
