There is a huge tree adjacent to Monk’s Brook. It is creaking like a heavy door on unoiled hinges. It is very close to the cycle/foot path. The nearest houses are on Fowey Close (SO53 4SQ).
There is a high likelihood that the tree may come crashing down on to the path, and because it is huge, on to the bungalows on Fowey Close. Last Thursday evening, around 30 Guides from Chandler’s Ford helped tidy the station in a brilliant display of community spirit.

CAFOD stands for the Catholic Agency For Overseas Development. It is the Catholic international development charity in England and Wales.
In Chandler’s Ford, for almost 30 years, Clare, Cecily, Gill and their CAFOD group from St Edward the Confessor Church in Chandler’s Ford have been hosting simple soup suppers to raise money for CAFOD. We really enjoyed Vicar of Dibley last Friday, performed by Bishopstoke Players. The production was really good. The cast (and choir) were excellent.
