Eastleigh Town Centre Filled With Joy Today

November 23, 2013 By Janet Williams 8 Comments

I  didn’t realise today is such an important day in Eastleigh when I went to town this morning.

I was totally surprised by what I saw in such a vibrant town centre: happy people, live band, free soup and food, rock climbing, charity stalls, and even Star Wars and Predator characters were in town.

Today is actually Eastleigh Borough Council’s family fun day together with the switching on of Eastleigh’s Christmas lights and firework display.

At 6pm the town is set to be all lit up when The Mayor of Eastleigh, Councillor Malcolm Cross – assisted by Santa Claus – will switch on the town’s 2013 Christmas lights display.

Here are some interesting characters in town today:

In Eastleigh today: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Stormtrooper from Star Wars, and Predator.
