Christmas Song for Eastleigh – Eastleigh Christmas Lights Switch on 2014

November 20, 2014 By White Wabbit 2 Comments

Note: To welcome Christmas Lights Switch On and Christmas Market in Eastleigh this coming weekend (22 November 2014), White Wabbit has written this upbeat song for Eastleigh.

To be sung to the tune of Jingle Bells.

Jingle bells, Eastleigh smells
Of mince pies and mulled wine
Oh! Lots of things to do today
It’s Christmas Market time
Christmas cards, gifts galore,
A hamper raffle too
Hope my tickets win a prize
Or maybe even two.

Scene from Eastleigh Christmas Market 2013

Jingle bells, Eastleigh smells
Of candy canes and fun
Oh! What fun it is to have
An elfling little one!
A climbing wall, that’s very tall
Plus rides and things to do
Santa Claus in a Parade
And we can join in too!

Jingle bells, Eastleigh smells
Of frosty, crisp white snow
Oh! What fun it is to skate
As snowmen really know
The crowds are waiting as roller skating
Snowmen glide in the door
Will they spin for our delight
Or end up on the floor?

Snowman

Jingle bells, Eastleigh smells
Of animal poop and hay
Oh! What fun it is to watch
The bunnies as they play
Ponies, parrots, guinea pigs,
Alpacas and ostriches too
Oh! What fun it is to pet
The animals in the zoo!

Jingle bells, Eastleigh smells
Of melting walls and floor
Oh no a dalek just rolled past
To Exterminate the door!
He moves his laser beam around
Will he point it at me?
“Exterminate!” he shouts out loud
Then melts the Christmas Tree!

Jingle bells, Eastleigh smells
Of sulfur and cordite
At 6pm the lights went on
They’re such a pretty sight!
Then fireworks shoot into the air
They sparkle blue and green
They go BANG! We ‘Ooh’ and ‘Ahh’
They’re the best we’ve ever seen!
