D & G stands for Des & Gabby, a couple who ran D & G Hardware in Canberra, capital city of Australia.
D & G later returned to Winchester and ran their independent, much-loved hardware business in St. George’s Street in Winchester for about 30 years.

Ant is only 38 years old. He is now the new District Commissioner of the Chandler’s Ford District Scouts, leading about 700 youngsters in Chandler’s Ford. My friend Hazel and I watched Spring Happenings by the Chameleons at the Ritchie Memorial Hall in Chandler’s Ford this evening. The show was outstanding and we highly recommended it. The show lasts two more days till this Saturday.
