I had never seen so many scarecrows in my life. I had a tour of medieval and modern history through scarecrows in Pirbright village in Surrey last weekend.

Last weekend I watched X-Men: Days of Future Past at Vue Cinemas in Eastleigh. This is the third superhero movie released this year so far. The first was Captain America 2 (which was awesome) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (which I haven’t seen).

Last weekend it was my privilege and pleasure to visit Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk for the annual conference and AGM of the Guild of Church Musicians, and particularly so as the Guild was making me one of several new honorary fellows (Hon. FGCM for short).

My friend Hazel and I watched Spring Happenings by the Chameleons at the Ritchie Memorial Hall in Chandler’s Ford this evening. The show was outstanding and we highly recommended it. The show lasts two more days till this Saturday.

I decided to look for 84 Charing Cross Road.
I had walked on this road so many times before, but this was the only time I took a photograph of No 84.

Just a few yards off The Circus in Bath is the Museum of East Asian Art in a beautiful Georgian house on Bennett Street.
The contents were collected by Brian McElney OBE, a British scholar of sinology who worked as a lawyer in Hong Kong. After retirement he tried to present his collection to other museums of Chinese art but eventually set this one up himself. [Read more…] about China In Bath

Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church will be presenting The Crossroad, a musical drama, from 10th to 12th of April (Thursday to Saturday).
The Crossroad was written and performed in Truro last year and has been specially adapted by Mike Standing.
