The Age Concern Carol Service at the Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church this afternoon was brilliant.

The Rev. Peter Cornick made us think about the true meaning of Christmas. Is Christmas just about shopping and eating? He asked.

Eastleigh Town Centre Filled With Joy Today

In Eastleigh today: Obi Wan Kenobi and Stormtrooper from Star Wars, and Predator.

I  didn’t realise today is such an important day in Eastleigh when I went to town this morning.

Reminiscing The Old Chandler’s Ford Train Station

19 October 2003 Chandler's Ford train station reopened 10 years ago. The train was hauled by Union of South Africa.

On the 13th of October 2013 (Sunday), Chandler’s Ford celebrated the 10th anniversary of the re-opening of the Chandler’s Ford train station.

It was a beautiful celebration. The weather was typically British.

Chandler’s Ford railway station is going to celebrate its 10th year birthday since its re-opening 10 years ago. The celebration will be on Sunday 13 October 2013 between 1pm and 4pm at the station.

1) Capt. A.A.J. Fortune: Chandlers Ford, 1859 – 1969. The book cover reads, “An account of the growth of Chandlers Ford from a hamlet to a village by 1897, now the largest residential area in the Borough of Eastleigh.”

Hursley Post Office opens 7 days a week and its services include: national lottery, dry cleaning, ice cream, deliver newspapers & magazines, locally produced eggs, bread, milk & cakes, pre-ordered foreign currency, euros on demand, greeting cards and stationery.
