Is it too Early to Mention…Christmas (in August)?

August 31, 2016 By Janet Williams Leave a Comment

I visited the Central Precinct last week, on my way back from my physiotherapist at goPhysio.

I popped into Dan’s From Old to New furniture upholstery shop for a chat.

I asked Dan if he had any news for Chandler’s Ford Today?

Daniel Mulcahy, owner of From Old To New workshop in Chandler's Ford Central Precinct.

At first he said no. Then he said yes.

Dan took me to the courtyard and showed me a tree.

“This’s going to be our Christmas tree this year. We plated the tree last Christmas.”

Dan was excited to share this news. Could it be the most unique ‘community planted Christmas tree’ in Chandler’s Ford?

We know that Selwood on Bournemouth Road always has the most stunning Christmas tree. See Selwood’s Christmas Tree in 2014, and Selwood’s Christmas Tree in 2015.

But the Central Precinct has planted its own Christmas tree. I truly like the idea of having a tree there.

I’ll keep you updated how the tree has grown nearer to Christmas time.

While I was at the Central Precinct, I also visited the new curtain shop, Choices.
