Richard Hardie’s Book Writing Fun at Chandler’s Ford Library

August 30, 2015 By Allison Symes 1 Comment

Chandler’s Ford author Richard Hardie will be signing copies of his Young Adult novels, Leap of Faith and Trouble With Swords, at Chandler’s Ford Library.

Richard Hardie will be hosting two sessions on Thursday, 29th October.  The first one will be between 10.30 and 12 noon and is called Let’s Write A Book.  This session is aimed at 10 to 12 year olds.

After a break for a well earned lunch, the second session is at 2 to 3.30 p.m. and called So You Want to Be an Author?  This is aimed at 12 to 14 years old.

Library Notice
Libraries love supporting local authors.

Both events are free but booking is essential given spaces are limited.

Free tickets can be collected from library reception.

Richard Hardie from Chandler's Ford has published two books in The Temporal Detective Agency series.

Good luck to Richard on both of these events.  I hope they go well.  This kind of signing and talk is a major step forward for any writer, so congratulations too.

About Richard Hardie

Richard started writing Young Adult novels while flying on multiple business trips. His Temporal Detective Agency series comprises Leap of Faith and Trouble With Swords. Richard hopes to write more for the series and maintains Young Adults can be of (almost) any age to enjoy his books.

Richard was also a Scout Leader for 15 years and some of his main characters were developed during his time writing for the local Gang Shows.

About Allison Symes

I'm a published flash fiction and short story writer, as well as a blogger. My fiction work has appeared in anthologies from Cafelit and Bridge House Publishing.

My first flash fiction collection, From Light to Dark and Back Again, was published by Chapeltown Books in 2017.

My follow-up, Tripping the Flash Fantastic, was published by Chapeltown Books in 2020.

I adore the works of many authors but my favourites are Jane Austen, P.G. Wodehouse and Terry Pratchett.

I like to describe my fiction as fairytales with bite.

I also write for Writers' Narrative magazine and am one of their editors. I am a freelance editor separately and have had many short stories published online and in anthologies.
