The Sorting Office Creative Open Day: Chandler’s Ford Library 14th Feb 2015

January 23, 2015 By SO53 News 2 Comments

Designer-makers from The Sorting Office studios will host a Creative Open Day at Chandler’s Ford Library on the 14th of February (Saturday) from 10am to 3pm.

The makers, designers, and artists, who work at The Sorting Office studios in Wells Road, Eastleigh, will be holding demonstrations of their crafts, offering taster sessions for anyone passionate about learning a new skill, and displaying their beautiful creations.

Sparking the flame of passion

The Sorting Office programme manager Pete Davison said:

“This is a wonderful opportunity for people to see how arts and designer-makers create their work, to see up close the creative process. It’s a chance for them to think about taking up a new skill and to get advice from us on the ways to do that.

More importantly, it’s about having a fun day out – and, hopefully, sparking the flame of passion to try something new.”

Historical costumier Helen McArdle will be demonstrating some of the skills she uses in her art.
