To mark the end of 2013, I’m showing you the old and new signs of The Mall Shopping Centre in Chandler’s Ford.
The old sign looked a bit tired. The new triangular sign carried a modern feel, with bigger font size, and the space between letters is wider. The new contemporary sign is certainly more appealing.
Do you know when The Mall was opened?
There is a plaque on the wall. The text reads:
The Mall Chandlers Ford was officially opened by Lord and Lady Romsey on the 7th September 1988. (A. C. English Developments Ltd.)
