A Fruitful Fairtrade Evening With Community Spirit

Chandler’s Ford Going Bananas Fairtrade Fashion Show and Craft Fair on the 8th of March was a huge success.

More than 100 people turned up for this joyous community event with a strong Fairtrade message.

Going Bananas Fairtrade Fashion Show: March 8

More than 30 years ago, I visited a World Development Movement meeting and saw a film about the way multi-national companies operate around the world. It prompted me to start a Traidcraft stall at my church in Ruislip Manor.

I bought Traidcraft Eastern Flower Gift Wrap (£5) last week and I’m totally mesmerised by the texture, colours and beauty of the paper.

International Day of Happiness

This morning, I learnt from Leyla Torres from Origami Spirit that today, March 20th, is the first International Day of Happiness, initiated by the United Nations.

My initial emotion to the International Day of Happiness was bafflement. I pondered briefly, why do we need a specific day for happiness? Welcome With A Fairtrade Message

I would like to welcome the birth of this site with a short post about Fairtrade In Eastleigh.
