New Autumn South West Trains Fares Promotion and Cycling Promotional Video

September 27, 2016 By Janet Williams 2 Comments

Mark Miller, Three Rivers Community Rail Partnership Officer, just sent me some wonderful news.

You might like to hear about them.

1) The latest fares promotion from South West Trains

Autumn Promotion: Days-Out offer

South West Train autumn offer 2016

“From Friday 14 October – Sunday 11 December 2016, South West Trains are offering Off-Peak single tickets for just £14.95 adults and £5 kids, when booked online, in advance, to over 200 destinations on our network.”

Tickets are available to purchase from 26 September 2016.

2) A video recently produced by Hampshire County Council tourism, which seeks to encourage cycling in Southern England.

I would like to give you a challenge: could you tell us something about the places shown in this video? The best pub? Fish and Chips? Any intersting shop? Put your tips in the comment.

That’s good news. A day out to Weymouth would be fun.

I like SW Train’s offer, and have used it many times in previous years. Make sure you book in advance (a day before you travel). Treat yourself some ice cream with the money you save on the travel cost.
