For a 20-month-old non-commercial website for the Chandler’s Ford community, I would consider the response as good.
It is encouraging when other sites link to the blog posts in Chandler’s Ford Today.

Recently, I found some traffic coming from Steve Brine MP’s website.
I’ve just realised Steve Brine has linked this post, New Ramalley Hall Lego Brick Cufflink Fundraiser on Chandler’s Ford Today, to one of his local news updates: Cufflinks at the Ready.
The second Chandler’s Ford Ramalley Scout Group is selling beautiful Lego Brick Cufflink to raise money for a new community hall.
The Scout group has a brilliant website: Ramalley Hall: Home of 2nd Chandler’s Ford Scout Group. You’ll find their fundraising progress, and the Ramalley Hall history on their regularly updated website.
You can buy the Lego cufflinks through the Ramalley Hall website, or at Bay Leaves Larder community store on Hiltingbury Road.
2. Link from Jackie Porter (Liberal Democrat Councillor)
The first politician who linked to this website is Jackie Porter.
On 30 December 2013, Liberal Democrat Councillor Jackie Porter praised Chandler’s Ford Today (It was then called eastleighnet) in her blog post: Ian Fletcher’s innovative sermon for Christmas, inspired by this post on Hiltingbury I wrote last Christmas.
Jackie Porter also engaged in conversation in this Chandler’s Ford vs Chandlers Ford post as she supports the use of an apostrophe in our place name.
3. Chameleon Theatre Company likes our theatre review
More recently, Chameleon Theatre Company linked epiduda’s theatre review, The Ladykillers, on its homepage. For the young Chandler’s Ford writer who has just turned 14 recently, being acknowledged for his effort and good writing is a huge encouragement.
4. Allison Symes brings her fans
Chandler’s Ford writer Allison Symes has an excellent blog called Fairytales with Bite.
She has taken her loyal fans and visitors to Chandler’s Ford Today.
5. Eastleigh Borough Council ‘likes’ Chandler’s Ford Today
Eastleigh Borough Council recently informed local residents that Chandler’s Ford Today is worth bookmarking in your web browser.

6. Chandler’s Ford Today meets Hiltingbury School
However, nothing delights me more than finding Chandler’s Ford Today appear in Hiltingbury Junior School’s website.
Yesterday I found some traffic coming from Year 3 of Hiltingbury Junior School. I wonder what the Year 3 children found interesting on Chandler’s Ford Today.
Hiltingbury Junior Year 3 learns about the topic of Our Place this year. They discover natural world through David Attenborough’s video.
In lesson seven, they learn about Chandler’s Ford.
In lesson seven – Past, Present and Future, we will do some research into the history of Chandler’s Ford and compare it with modern day Chandler’s Ford:

About Chandler’s Ford was written by our fine writer Mike Sedgwick. It amazes me to see how this particular post is valued by the Year 3 group in Hiltingbury.
Mike’s childhood was different. Almost 70 years ago, he believed Father Christmas travelled on a doodlebug. Now he enlightens our young pupils in Hiltingbury through his writing of stories and local history. I found the link incredible.

Now some 7-8 years old children at our local school are learning about Chandler’s Ford history through this community website. Their teachers value this post because it benefits the children in the Chandler’s Ford community.

We are selling the cufflinks at Bay Leaves larder and all monies are going to the Ramalley Scout Group Fundraising.
We are also doing our famous Bay Leaves Hampers that we can make up to whatever the customer wants to have in it from our store.
