Following the sell-out success of last month’s Vicar Of Dibley at The Ritchie Hall in Hursley Road, I’m pleased to report that rehearsals are underway for our next production – The Ladykillers.
The Ladykiller runs from Thursday 23rd to Saturday 25th of October.
Based on the 1958 Ealing comedy starring Alec Guiness, Peter Sellers and Herbert Lom, the stage adaptation of the much-loved black comedy was written by Graham Linehan, who is also noted for his sitcom Father Ted.

I look forward to this! I never knew that Vicar of Dibley came to the stage? I can’t believe I’ve missed it. Well I have this one firmly etched into my diary, I did enjoy Hansel and Gretel you staged a few years back.
Keep up the good work chaps!

The Vicar of Dibley sold out a month before the show opened. It was such a fun production and performing to full houses full of laughter every night added to everyone’s experience.

The Vicar Of Dibley gave us so much pleasure! It was a witty play and the performance flowed very well. The actors and actresses played their roles remarkably well and I think all the roles were well hand-picked. Alice Tinker (by Ali Wineberg)’s “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!” moment was absolutely brilliant.
Nick, the Chameleon’s website has improved a lot. I visited your Performances page, and found the Chameleons started entertaining the community well before I was born! The Chameleons have shared productions on Flickr and on YouTube – what a great idea and it’s wonderful that you share resources and spread the joy.

Thanks Janet, I am glad you found the photos on our website and were able to re-live your evening with the Vicar of Dibley. The YouTube clips of some of our earlier shows are certainly entertaining. Hansel & Gretal directed by Sheila Hardiman in January 2012 was my introduction to The Chameleons. I turned up for the first time during their Dress Rehearsal and was given the job of “Spot Follower”. I was so nervous, my hand was shaking holding on to the spot light at the back of the Hall that the spotlight was bouncing up and down on the cast members on stage! I had to set it in position and let go! Talk about a baptism of fire, I only turned up to see what The Chameleons were all about. I enjoyed the Panto so much; the cast and crew seemed to be having such a good time I just had to get involved and I’ve been hooked ever since.
