Review: The Phantom of the Opera by Centrestage Production Youth Theatre

March 10, 2015 By Janet Williams 2 Comments

Centrestage Production Youth Theatre recently performed The Phantom of the Opera at The Point theatre in Eastleigh. The youngsters received a standing ovation with their outstanding performances.

Wendy from Horton Heath praised the youngsters: “A brilliant production – we loved it. Incredible to believe how young they were. Truly professional.”

The wave of positive responses started from Jane in Eastleigh. On our local social media site Streetlife, Jane recently asked local residents if they had watched The Phantom of the Opera by the Centrestage Youth Theatre.

Talented actors and actresses from Centrestage Chandler's Ford received rave reviews of their outstanding performances of the Phantom of the Opera.

Standing ovation for Centrestage’s performance

Jane praised the brilliant team: “What a fantastic professional performance from youngsters of Centrestage. No West End Musical could not have been better. The dancing, choreography, film set and singing were exceptional. It is the first time I have experienced a standing ovation at The Point.”

“Well done Centrestage!!”

Mike Mullen, Chairman and Production Manager of Centrestage Productions Youth Theatre, told me that Centrestage has been running for 22 years.

Mike said, “We are already beginning preparations for our next two productions and are always looking for ways to get word out there.

We have been operational for 22 years and there are still people who say they have never heard of us or knew that our facility exists down by the train station in Chandler’s Ford.

We are going to be working hard over the next few months to try and significantly raise our profile in the local area.”
