Fryern Funtasia 2013: Cool Jazz

May 10, 2013 By Janet Williams 2 Comments

Did you spot a red feather at Fryern Funtasia 2013 in Chandler’s Ford?

Professional musician David Tripp played the guitar beautifully. The stylish musician, a local resident, performed just right at the Methodist Church’s catering stand. I asked David why he wore a red feather. He answer: “I got tired of the green one!”

I unwound listening to his music while enjoying my lunch under the sun. The music was soothing and I felt almost dreamy.

Where else is David playing? David told me that he has a very good duo with a lady Tenor Saxophone player named Jane.  Their band is called Cool Jazz.

They love playing at hotels, parties, restaurants and other events. He told me that they’re not expensive to hire, and some of their profit would go to the charity.

Their specialty is easy listening music and background music.
