Eastleigh Community Games Sunday 27th July

July 25, 2014 By Dave Bowring 3 Comments

Eastleigh Lions Club will be helping the 2012 Olympics Legacy group run the Community Games on 27th July Sunday at the Pavilion on the Park, Eastleigh (The old Fleming Park Golf Course).

Why sit on the couch and watch others keeping fit and winning medals in Glasgow, when you could actually be doing it yourself?

All are welcome to come along for a free taster session of various games and sports. The event is from 10am to 2pm.

Bring your mountain bike to try out the professional track (if unable to bring your own, they have some to borrow).

Other activities include table tennis, Boccia, Boxing, pedalling enough energy to make your own smoothie and lots lots more.

Several organisations will have food, drinks and games in tents / marquees around the site, and the mayor of Eastleigh will open the proceedings at 10.00.

More information on Eastleigh Lions Community Games.

See you there!

I have a stall at this event but it sounds better than I thought – might abandon ship for a bit and get on a bike! x

Why not, Wendy? ‘Pedalling enough energy’ on a bike to make your own smoothies. Sound rather interesting! Last time I saw bike doctor Tom demonstrating it at Chandler’s Ford station.
