Santa’s Grotto at Brambridge Garden Centre with Eastleigh Lions

Brambridge Garden Centre - Santa, Eastleigh Lions, and happy children.

Santa’s arrival at Brambridge Park Garden Centre was met by a huge crowd of smiling faces. He was accompanied by Eastleigh Lions and children from the charities Simon Says and Eastleigh Young Carers, aboard a lovely heritage bus kindly loaned from Southampton & District Transport Heritage Trust. World Sight Day: Lions Club of Eastleigh Supports Open Sight

Staff at Open Sight couldn’t believe their eyes when a lion visited their offices in Bishopstoke on Wednesday, to present them with a cheque.

Santa arrived at Brambridge last Sunday in a vintage Rolls Royce and will now be in attendance every weekend until Christmas in his new, improved grotto.

Eastleigh celebrate volunteers exhibition

Eastleigh is celebrating voluntary and community organisations this summer.

The Hampshire Cultural Trust’s Celebrate Volunteers exhibition runs from 23 May to 27 June at Eastleigh Museum, 25 High Street, Eastleigh SO50 5LF.

German Student Seeking Host Family

A German student is seeking a host family. Are you able to help?

Eastleigh Lions twinned with German Kornwestheim Lions Club in 1995. Both towns are twinned as well.

The towns and the Lions Clubs enjoy a good cultural and social exchanges. The Lions Clubs also carry out joint projects over the many years.

This morning I visited the Craft Fair again at Brambridge Park Garden Centre on Kiln Lane.

I bought a lovely crocheted blanket and mini crocheted crosses from Sue and Rachel Potter.

I spent half a day in Eastleigh town centre yesterday to watch Eastleigh Mardi Gras.

Traditionally Mardi Gras (or Fat Tuesday in French) is a Christian holiday, commonly known as Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Day or Pancake Tuesday in the UK. Life In Children Cancer Ward At Southampton General Hospital

Eastleigh Community Games Sunday 27th July

Eastleigh Lions: £1000 To Eastleigh Basics Bank

Eastleigh Lions Donation to Eastleigh Basics Bank.

Recently the Eastleigh Basics Bank marked the feeding of 8,000 people as Eastleigh Lions Club President Philip Spearey, along with other Club members, made a £1,000 donation towards the continuation of the basics bank project.
