The purpose of this giveaway is for me to collect some views from readers, so that I could improve on this website. Many thanks.

I enjoy reading and looking at the website because it gives me local news that I cannot find from other more widespread publications such as The Echo. The freebie papers tend to carry old and dated news.

It could be improved with more people participation which is difficult because we all lead busy lives including you. I would like to see more coverage of our local sports teams at all levels from junior upwards.

I would like to win this because I would further donate it to a young man who is recovering from a brain tumour who loves his football. (That is if SFC will allow one child and one adult (His dad).

      Tony,

      Thank you for your comment.

The purpose of setting up this site was to improve communication, to help people from different walks of life to communicate, and to know what’s happening around us, to discover, to amaze, and to be amazed.

Chandler’s Ford is not a small area, yet we don’t seem to have an effective means of communication. I hope that with more participation, we could reflect diversity, include more interesting and stimulating stories, and reflect the local voices.

I’m more than happy to include sports news. I hope Eastleigh FC could continue send out stories. I also know we have a strong (and famous) junior team. It would be a privilege to get to know these hardworking and talented young people. I’m not an expert in sports, so I need some passionate sports enthusiasts to help me out.

Hi I love interacting with the local people wishing to express their local concerns, the topics are sometimes very interesting and some answers are very amusing.

I learn lots of useful information which otherwise I would have no clue about and frequently pass it on to friends & family even getting them to join up, and I also enjoy answering back to various people subjects.

I feel as if I’ve made lots of friends even if not actually seeing them face to face but only by messaging back and fro.

I think maybe by asking local business that advertise frequently through our doors to provide a little area where we could advertise this website f.o.c, this site would be then known to nearly all residents in the area who don’t know about us and would get lots more followers to sign up and join in.

I would love to win this for my husband and my son. They are avid Saints fans – my husband for the last 40 years and my son for the whole of his 21 years. They would be over the moon to get this and would give them more precious father & son time together doing the tour, and who knows you may even get 2 new followers on a regular basis giving their football feedback to the locals via this site.

I would like to be entered for the draw and would use the tickets in a raffle at a Quiz I am organising for Marie Curie at the Concorde Club on Thursday 27th November.

Not too late to enter teams…see Concorde Website or ask me for more details.

I like the website and promote it. I like the community spirit it engenders giving a voice to those who may not use other means to express their views and opinions.

Also good to publicise local events which may get missed otherwise.

How about a “for sale” notice board?

Thank you for all who answered in this thread, and have given me so many positive comments and suggestions.

With an ‘overwhelming’ response (4 people 🙂 who followed the rules), my husband did a random pick this morning.

The lucky winner is Ray Fishman.
