Heatwave (and finally some rain) in Chandler’s Ford

July 29, 2018 By SO53 News 1 Comment

Yes Chandler’s Ford and Hiltingbury were basking in sunshine, until this morning.

Weeks and weeks of heatwave have changed the landscapes of Chandler’s Ford’s green and pleasant land.

A few days ago, Stuart Roberts captured the scenes of Hiltingbury Recreation Ground using his DJI Phantom 3 drone for us. Here are some of Stuart’s photographs which we have cropped from his original 360 degree images.

Nice images from Stuart. I look forward to seeing more of those.
This morning the brown grass is beginning to stand up a little and my hydrangeas are no longer wilting. There is even a small bud on a piece of ‘dead’ yucca plant stem that I have kept against the odds.
Now, can we have the sun back, please?
