Hampshire Constabulary: Appeal for Witnesses Following Fatal Collision in Chandler’s Ford

The information is via Hampshire Constabulary:

We are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a collision in Chandler’s Ford.

At approximately 11.30pm last night (Monday 12th March 2018), a Vauxhall Corsa travelling south west on Winchester Road collided with a tree just past the junction with Peverells Wood Avenue.

The driver, 25-year-old Ben Ghafoor, of Wyndham Drive, Romsey, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Tribute from the family

Ben’s family have released the following tribute:

Ben, words cannot explain how much we will miss you. Most beloved father, son and brother. Forever in our hearts.

An appeal

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information that could assist our investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Gill.
