Frankenstein – National Theatre Live At Thornden Hall

November 1, 2014 By Janet Williams 5 Comments

We watched Frankenstein – National Theatre Live at Thornden Hall last night.

Frankenstein featured Benedict Cumberbatch as the ‘creature’ and Jonny Lee Miller as Victor Frankenstein.

The performance was powerful and thought-provoking. Benedict Cumberbatch wore a loincloth at the start of the emotionally charged show.

If you missed the brilliant performance, there’ll be another show tomorrow (Sunday 2nd November) at Thorden Hall. Jonny Lee Miller will be playing the creature this time, and Victor Frankenstein will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch.

National Theatre Live’s thrilling broadcast of Frankenstein is directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire, London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony).

It is wonderful that Thornden Hall now brings high quality National Theatre performances to Chandler’s Ford.
