Did You Spot a Yogi in the Woods?

Southampton Common was the venue for a very uncommon sight last week. Two hundred and fifty yoga fans gathered for a mass al fresco yoga session.

Eastleigh Artists Shine: Mayor’s Ceremonial Mace and Chain

In 2014, glassware artist Carly Mann was commissioned by Eastleigh Borough Council to design and make a new Ceremonial Mace for the new Mayor of Eastleigh in collaboration with Prysmian Group.

Methodist Church: Wedding Dress Festival

Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church will be holding an exciting Wedding Dress Festival.

You’ll have a chance to view over 50 wedding dresses and some bridesmaids dresses, which between them span over 70 years.

Did Eurovision 2015 Inspire You to Learn Languages?

Yesterday I taught Chinese in the morning (Open University L197 – Beginners’ Chinese module), and came home to watch Eurovision in the evening.

I must admit it was a wonderful day to indulge myself in languages and multi-cultures for a whole day.

Chandler’s Ford Library provides us with books, music, and films, and yesterday, the library also brought us the most talented artists from The Sorting Office Studios in Eastleigh.

I’ve been following the artists around Eastleigh since last year and it was very lovely to see some of them again in Chandler’s Ford Library.

Congratulations to Brandon Hulcoop: Winner of Onkyo World Braille Competition

Congratulations to Brandon Hulcoop in Year 8 from The Toynbee School in Chandler’s Ford.

Brandon has won a prestigious writing competition in the International Onkyo Braille Contest.

My Pingat Jasa Malaysia (Malaysian Service Medal)

One day a few years ago, I received a phone call, asking me if I would like to come to Portsmouth to receive the Pingat Jasa Malaysia medal (Malaysian Service Medal). I was very surprised.
