New Video: South Millers Dale

October 28, 2017 By Janet Williams Leave a Comment

Last month we shared a video Welcome to Hiltingbury, Chandler’s Ford. The video was created by Jack Smark, a 13 year old Year 9 pupil from the Toynbee School.

Today I found Jack’s new video, named South Millers Dale. Jack is the founder and creator of Tondore Productions. He is an aspiring cinematographer and would love to film movies and film documentaries.

Let’s enjoy this short film.

Jack introduced his film: “This video is about South Millers Dale, Chandler’s Ford. Including central Chandler’s Ford (Fryern Arcade), local schools and a milestone that is 69 miles away from London. This video is to help you if you are moving into the area and you want to know what’s around. I hope you enjoy this video.”

Hursley Road filmed by Jack. I'm not it's not 8am on a Monday morning!

I’m pleased to see some familiar places included in this film. Places of interest included in the film are:

  • Fryern: Waitrose, Costa, and Sparks Ellison
  • Hursley Road: the Co-op, Monks Brook, and South West train (or South Western trains?)
  • Ramalley Cops, and Flexford Nature Reserve
  • Schools: Chandler’s Ford Infant School, Merdon Junior School, and the Toynbee School

I particularly like the milestone – 69 miles away from London.

Where is this milestone located in Chandler's Ford?

Where is the milestone

Do you know where this milestone is? If you do, leave your answer in the comment. The first person who gives the right answer will get a small chocolate bar from me. 🙂

You could also send us your selfie with the milestone (and we could even publish it.)

Tondore Productions. Keep SMIRKing. What a clever name, Jack!

And, who know where the place is at the end of the film? It’s not the Highbridge Community Farm, it it? It looks like an allotment to me.

Does any reader know the answer?
