I came across a short YouTube video a few days ago about Chandler’s Ford and Hiltingbury.
“Welcome to Hiltingbury, Chandler’s Ford”
I’ve watched the video a few times, and found it rather pleasing as it captures the key scenes in Chandler’s Ford well: estate agents, outstanding schools, Hiltingbury Lakes (and men fishing), shops in Hiltingbury (Andersons, Marshalls Bakery…), charity shop on Hiltingbury Road, The Picture Framing Shop, the Hiltonbury Farmhouse, wildlife, Tesco, the Hilt, the tennis courts, and dogs playing on Hiltingbury Recreation Ground.
On the other side of Chandler’s Ford, the Fryern Arcade roundabout is featured, and all road users (including a cyclist) seem very civilised at that roundabout. Not surprisingly, Costa and Waitrose are also featured in the film.
The film is created by Jack Smark, a 13 year old Year 9 pupil from the Toynbee School.
Jack created this short film under Tondore Productions.
Here is Jack’s introduction:
Hello My name is Jack Smirk, the proud owner of Tondore Productions as you may realise this is my first video I have made and uploaded to this YouTube channel. I hope you enjoy this video and if you are thinking of moving to the area this could help you to know the place. I will soon be making other videos of places in and around Chandler’s Ford.
We are very happy to share this lovely video to the Chandler’s Ford community, as it is very well made and worth sharing.
After watching the film, I hope you the readers could give Jack some positive feedback, and give his video a thumbs up on YouTube.
Well done Jack! Thank you for sharing your very first video with us. We look forward to seeing your new videos soon.

Very good video, well done.

Very good indeed. I have a feeling Jack loves Andersons News very much (and the bakery). The lakes are beautifully presented. Not sure if the gentlemen caught anything from the lakes.
Maggie Farran says
An excellent video that packs a lot of information about Chandler’s Ford in a short time. I particularly liked the sequence at the Lakes. The background music is just right. It is lively and bouncy without being intrusive.
Mike Sedgwick says
A good video, Jack. You know how to handle a camera. Well done.
