Chandler’s Ford Railway Station Celebrated 10th Anniversary of Re-opening

Here is a memorable plaque about the reopening of Chandler’s Ford railway station in 2003. You’ll find the plaque on top of the wall at the ticket office.

Amazing! Louise from Scantabout Primary school was born on the day Chandler’s Ford train station re-opened on May 18 2003. She attended the 10th anniversary with her mum. Louise received chocolates and free Southwest train tickets.
A stunning Chandler’s Ford cake was made by a Southampton University student Zoe Bevis. I arrived too late and two carriages of the cake had gone!
Chandler’s Ford jewellery maker Gillian Connell of Evenstar Jewellery had a wonderful display at the station on Sunday.

This station was in use from 1847 until 1969. A new station opened on the site in 2003.
