The Nativity Experience, 18th and 19th November

November 5, 2017 By chippy minton Leave a Comment

When did you last experience the Christmas Nativity story?  No, not hear the story, experience it.

We’re probably all familiar with the story: Mary and Joseph, Donkeys, Bethlehem, “no room at the inn”, manger, shepherds, angels, and all.  But what does it all mean and – more pertinently – why is it still important and relevant 2000 years later?

This year, Eastleigh Baptist Church will be seeking to answer this question with the Nativity Experience on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November – planned to coincide with and complement the Christmas light switch-on in the town centre.

It looks that it will be be an amazing event.  The interior of the church will be transformed into something quite remarkable, designed to lead you along an unforgettable journey to find the true meaning of Christmas.  To get an idea of how it might look, photos of last year’s event can be found here.

Admission is FREE  and no booking is required – just turn up between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm on either day.   You can be assured of a big welcome.

About chippy minton

I've lived in Chandler's Ford and Eastleigh for most of my working life, with interspersed with a few years in north-west Hampshire (though remaining a regular visitor to the area).

I work in IT, and my hobbies include bell ringing, walking and cycling. I am also a self-confessed “born-again runner” having discovered parkrun in 2015.

I enjoy live theatre and music, and try to watch many of the shows that are performed in the Eastleigh area.
