An Interview with Author Richard Hardie by Allison Symes

March 20, 2015 By Allison Symes 5 Comments

Allison Symes interviews Richard Hardie on Chandler's Ford Today.

I met Richard Hardie, walking Benji, whilst walking my first dog, Gracie, in the Hiltingbury Recreation Ground. Not only did we have dog walking in common, we soon discovered we shared a love of books, especially Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series, and creative writing.

Richard and I have work in The Shambelurklers Return, which is raising money for the National Autistic Society and is available in W.H. Smith in the Fryern Arcade of Chandler’s Ford. [Read more…] about An Interview with Author Richard Hardie by Allison Symes

Table Hogging

May 4, 2014 By chippy minton 9 Comments

"I'll go and grab a table."

While we were watching the St. George’s Day scout parade in Chandler’s Ford last week, we killed time between the parades by going to the posh-person’s supermarket to do a bit of shopping and have a coffee.

The shopping part of the expedition was successful. We soon found the few items that we needed. Not so the coffee part, however. [Read more…] about Table Hogging

Last summer, my friend from Ahmad Tea gave me two free tickets to visit Buckingham Palace on its preview day.

It was the day before the palace summer opening of the State Rooms. I took my son with me for such a privileged visit as VIPs for a day. Yes, I touched the grand staircase at Buckingham Palace designed by John Nash. That was a happy day. [Read more…] about St. George’s Day: Fascinating Dragons
