So happy to report another Sold Out week last week when we staged The Ladykillers.
This classic 1958 Ealing comedy was adapted for the stage by Graham Linehan, who wrote Father Ted. His script was fabulous to deliver to our full houses each night.
It had its dark moments too when one by one the gang members met their grisly end on the train tracks below Mrs Lopsided’s (err, Mrs Wilberforce)’s topsy-turvy house.
Chris Barber: our lucky neighbour
During the interval on Saturday evening we presented Chris Barber from Peverells Wood with a bottle of wine in recognition of being The Chameleon’s first ever customer to book his tickets online.
We celebrate our 50th Anniversary next year and offering online booking is just one of many innovations being introduced for the future.
With our shows selling out weeks in advance it makes sense to register your details on our website so we can send you advance notice of the next show. Subscribers receive an eNewsletter with a password that can be entered at the ticket booking stage two weeks before the Box office opens to the general public. A great way to avoid disappointment.
Easy steps to book tickets online

Our next performance will be The Wizard of Oz (a pantomime), from Friday 23rd of January to Saturday 31st of January with 2pm Matinees on both Saturdays for the little ones.
From 23rd to 25th April 2015, we are staging 3 episodes from Fawlty Towers each evening – Communication Problems, A Touch of Clas and The Hotel Inspectors. Having already read the scripts, I can assure you this is going to be such a fun production, not only to be in but also to watch – don’t miss it!

I really enjoyed this production – a great evening’s entertainment! The online booking service was easy to use.

Having an online booking system is a great way to reach out to other people who might not otherwise buy the tickets. I like the Newsletters sent out by the Chameleons too – clear and up to date. I think the Chameleons have taken the initiative to connect to the public – they also show up in every local fair that you could think of – I think the public sector (such as the Parish Council), and other local theatre groups have a lot to learn from the Chameleons’ marketing.
