A Passionate Chandler’s Ford Photographer

April 4, 2015 By Alan Fry 1 Comment

I’m Alan. I’m 35 and have lived in Chandler’s Ford with my family since 2012. I was born in Bassett Green and have lived in a few places around Hampshire over the years.

I love this place; it is by far the nicest place I have ever lived. When Janet invited me to help contribute to this site I jumped at the chance.

I’ve never been in a position to be able to contribute to a community before, so how am I going to contribute to this one?

My passion is photography

Well my passion is photography. I love it.

“Who’s that crazy man behind the camera?”

I’m making it my mission to get out with the camera around Chandler’s Ford as much as possible. So if you see a crazy man laying in the street trying to find the right angle with his camera or if he starts talking to you whilst waving a camera around please try to be patient and understand, as he just can’t help himself.

Here are two of the photographs I’ve taken:

Supporting local theatre group: Chameleon Theatre Company

I have been helping a local theatre group called the Chameleon Theatre Company. I’ve been taking photos of them rehearsing for their marketing and advertising.

I took most of the photographs for their last production The Wizard Of Oz during their dress rehearsal. You can see all the images of the brilliant show here in this Flickr page.

The Chameleons are a great bunch of guys and if you haven’t been yet you really should check out one (or more) of their shows. They’re local, affordable and guarantee a good fun night out.

Their upcoming production will be Fawlty Towers from 23rd to 25th April 2015.

Having already read the scripts, I can assure you this is going to be such a fun production, not only to be in but also to watch – don’t miss it!

If you like photography please keep an eye on my website, Alan Fry Photography. My website is still in its early stages but I’ll be adding a lot more to it soon.

In the mean time if you think I may be able to help you with any photography needs please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m very approachable and will get back to you as soon as I possibly can.
