Nearly all of them arrive at Bethlehem in coaches which park in the large central square. The name of this square? You might think it would be something like Central Square or Bethlehem Square, but it is Manger Square.

Until fairly recently few people from Chandler’s Ford had visited Israel, but now there are some of our parishioners who have joined groups of pilgrims and flown to the Holy Land. We watched Frankenstein – National Theatre Live at Thornden Hall last night.
Frankenstein featured Benedict Cumberbatch as the ‘creature’ and Jonny Lee Miller as Victor Frankenstein.

Pupils from Thornden School in Chandler’s Ford have raised an impressive £7,500 for Canine Partners – an organisation that trains dogs to assist people with disabilities.

Marie Curie Cancer Care Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford Fundraising Group go from strength to strength with the support of the local community.

I spoke to Ant Gardiner this afternoon before the Chandler’s Ford St. George’s Day Parade started.
Ant is only 38 years old. He is now the new District Commissioner of the Chandler’s Ford District Scouts, leading about 700 youngsters in Chandler’s Ford. English spelling at times seems completely random, but it is sometimes systematic, even if there seems no good reason for the system, and if exceptions can still be found!

On Monday, I went to Southampton on a visit to Southampton Old Cemetery with some of my classmates from Toynbee School in Chandler’s Ford as we were on a history trip. I found out several interesting facts about the cemetery and the area.
