Did you know there was a Plants and Crafts sale at St Boniface church yesterday (Saturday 18th May 2019) from 10am to 2pm?
It was a popular community event run by Judith James, Chair of The Friends of St. Anne’s Hospital (Tanzania), with support from many members of St Boniface and St Martin’s churches.

There were three plant stalls outside St Boniface church yesterday morning, overflowing with donations from people’s gardens – everything from house plants and bedding plants to raspberry canes and numerous tomato plants.

Inside there were stalls offering professional quality handmade cards, home-made cakes and a chance to sit down and relax with tea, coffee and cake.

The largest stall was run by creative sisters Daryl and Dean who design and make a wide range of textile crafts from fabric donated to the St Anne’s charity. The raffle table was also busy!

St Boniface and St Martin’s are working together with the ambulance service to provide a public-access defibrillator outside each church. This project is receiving generous funding from various community organisations and businesses.
Proceeds from today’s event will be divided between the Friends of St Anne’s Hospital and the defibrillator fund.
