The Hilt AGM: Tuesday 11th March 2014

March 2, 2014 By Janet Williams Leave a Comment

The Annual General Meeting of Hiltingbury Community Centre (The Hilt) will be held at the Hilt in the Hocombe Hall on Tuesday 11th March 2014 at 7.30 pm.

You can download The Hilt’s March/April 2014 newsletter (PDF).

There will be a review of last year’s events and the financial results, with an opportunity for questions. The plans of the Association for the coming year will also be presented for discussion.

“We always welcome any ideas for events and ways to encourage community activities. After the meeting, there will be a chance to socialise with ‘wine and nibbles’ giving everyone the opportunity for further discussion about the Association’s activities and plans. Please come along, we look forward to seeing you there!”

The Hilt’s motto is: Putting the heart back into Hiltingbury. The spirit of community is reflected in its cultural and social events for the community.

Last month, I attended Ann Morgan’s talk at The Hilt with Hazel. It was a surreal evening: life and death, joy and sorrow, fiction and real life. I wrote my review in this post, Ann Morgan: A Year Of Reading The World.

Upcoming Events at The Hilt:

Friday, 7th March 7:30pm: Movie Night at the Hilt – Philomena

Friday, 4th April 7:30pm: Movie Night at the Hilt – Captain Phillips

Friday, 13th June 7:30pm: Talks at the Hilt – John Pilkington – A Balkan Adventure
