May 25, 2019 By Janet Williams Leave a Comment

This morning at the Fryern Arcade I was surprised to see that we now have a Specsavers in Chandler’s Ford.

And, today it was the grand opening day though Specsavers had already opened last Monday.

The Specsavers Chandler’s Ford branch was officially opened this morning by the new Mayor of Eastleigh Cllr Darshan Mann, who also attended the Fairtrade Fashion Show in Hiltingbury last Friday.

This new Specsavers is run by optician Minal.

Today visitors were given freebies (and cupcakes), and also a free eye test voucher.

Eastleigh Pharmacies

Today Eastleigh Pharmacies also has a strong presence at the Specsavers on Winchester Road today.

Pharmacist Mitesh Patel told me Minal is his cousin – so the whole family come here to support her business today, at the same time promote his own business – Eastleigh Pharmacies.

Mitesh and Bhavini Patel –  both pharmacists, run Eastleigh Pharmacies, which trade as Boyatt Pharmacy, Park Pharmacy, Falkland Pharmacy, and Hursley Pharmacy.

Today they give out goodies to visitors, and also do free blood pressure checks.

Mitesh told me he went to Barton Peveril College and now wants to give back to the community. He said running Eastleigh Pharmacies since two years ago is his ‘dream comes true’.

Mitesh would like local residents to continue support them as an independent pharmacy.
