Santa’s Grotto at Brambridge Garden Centre with Eastleigh Lions

December 4, 2017 By Wendy Blackman Leave a Comment

Santa’s arrival at Brambridge Park Garden Centre was met by a huge crowd of smiling faces. He was accompanied by Eastleigh Lions and children from the charities Simon Says and Eastleigh Young Carers, aboard a lovely heritage bus kindly loaned from Southampton & District Transport Heritage Trust. Huge thanks go to Tom Lingwood, the driver, for safely delivering the party.

Although children were keen to meet Santa, they were delighted to make friends with a huge friendly Lion!

Simon Says (Child Bereavement Support) supports children and young people in Hampshire, when someone important in their lives has died or is suffering a terminal illness.

Eastleigh Young Carers Project offers support for any young person aged 8-18 years whose life is significantly affected by caring for a family member who has an illness, disability, mental health or substance misuse problem.

Southampton and District Transport Heritage Trust preserves and looks after old vehicles with the aim of having a working transport museum – a great benefit for the younger generation!

Our mission at Eastleigh Lions is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote International understanding. We meet on the first Friday of the month at the Holiday Inn, Eastleigh at 8pm. We always welcome new members to join us – it’s fun and we really do make a difference.

Eastleigh Lions will be at Santa’s Grotto, Brambridge Garden Centre

Eastleigh Lions will be at Santa’s Grotto, Brambridge Garden Centre right up to the 24th December – and we are delighted to report that a major element of the funds raised will be donated to Simon Says.
