Pop-up Charity Tearoom In Chandler’s Ford

July 7, 2014 By Ray Fishman 11 Comments

Let me tell you about a fresh initiative in Chandler’s Ford. Have you heard about a new “Pop up” Charity Tearoom?

Once a month Lyn Rummey is offering tea and homemade cakes in the garden of her home at 17 Peverells Wood Avenue Chandler’s Ford SO53 2AX (see map).

Lyn had always dreamed of running her own tea room and has created an inviting and friendly environment where you can enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

Lyn invites you to nominate your favourite charity when you are there.

At the end of the year she will draw two charities who will equally share the profits from her little venture. Now, doesn’t that sound great?

Why not pop along to “Number 17” and help this lovely idea become a great success.

I love this refreshing Tea Room idea and would love to visit one day. But, do people drink tea outdoor during winter time?

The party goes indoors in the winter or in inclement weather..no problem!

Thanks Ray. I had thought there was some sort of English culture (drinking English tea outdoor in an English garden) that a foreigner like me is missing……..

Just to let you all know that Lyn’s “tea room” will be opening again on Tuesday 18th November. 10.30 till 4.30. Come and have a chat and meet your friends there. Tea and cake and a lovely atmosphere at 17 Peverells Wood Avenue. Nominate your favourite charity to benefit from the profits. In December there will be a childrens grotto too…the date is changed to Saturday 13th December.
