I’m in Ireland and the Irish cannot understand how stupid we have been. How long before we realise what we have done? Americans, Brazilians and Australians expressed similar amazement.

I’m very moved by David Cameron’s speech this morning. I listened to it 5 times. Such a heart-felt speech and no one would doubt his passion and love for the country. “The British people have made a choice” (sorry, it now sounds like a cliche) (and yours was one of the 48% in Eastleigh), and whether the decision is stupid or not is subjective. I believe Britain will still be great. The creativity and resilience of this nation never fails to amaze me.
