When I last bumped into Emi Wilks in the Art & Design Market in Winchester, she was actually sharing a stall with another artist, Eri Urushidani.
Eri Urushidani is from Osaka in Japan. She specialises in stained glass. She makes use of the so-called English Antique Glass, similar to that produced in medieval times for its wonderful textures.
Eri also often employs sandblasting to introduce further depth to her work. She incorporates other media, such as found wooden branches.
You can also find Eri’s art work in the marvellous Fisherton Mill Gallery in Salisbury and Hampshire Art and Craft.
Eri Urushidani has shown a great variety in her work, including window and glass panels, leaded panels, dinosaur series, stained glass mirrors, mobiles, candle boxes, mosaic mirrors, applique lamps, Tiffany lamps and others.
I’m pleased that Eri is happy to share some of her wonderful work with us in this slide show below. Thank you Eri!
