12-year-old Ben helps run the Traidcraft stall at St.Boniface church in Chandler’s Ford twice a month.
Ben supports his mum, Janet, to do the job.
What does the job entail?
1) Loading and unloading 10 heavy boxes.
2) Setting up 3 tables and taking control of the sweets section.
3) Giving people the correct change. It involves doing a bit of quick mental maths!
4) Talking to people: Ben talks about Kings and Queens, Doctor Who and ‘some weird stuff’.
Mother: Ben, what do you love most about running the Traidcraft stall in the church? Fighting poverty? Saving the world?
Ben: Earning my pocket money!
