Alpha Course: What is Alpha?

December 1, 2015 By Paul Smith 1 Comment

Is there more to life than this? What happens when we die?

The big questions on life and death don’t often get much thinking space. In our society of quick fixes and instant answers, it’s sometimes difficult to stop and think, to ask ‘what’s life all about?’

The Alpha Course offers space and permission to do just that.

There’s something incredibly attractive about a course that offers food, a short talk and then lots of time to think, exchange and discuss these issues of faith and the meaning of life.

This year we are running the Alpha Course at Bay Leaves Larder on Hiltingbury Road.

Held in this artisan coffee shop with free coffee and cake, Alpha offers a relaxed environment with plenty of opportunity for discussion and to ask the big questions.

Aimed at non-Christians and those wanting to explore more about faith, Alpha runs for 10 weeks every Thursday night at 7:30pm from 7th January 2016. There’s also a day away together on Saturday 20th February at Old Alresford Place.

The Alpha Course

Dates: 7 Jan 2016 to 17 March 2016
Time: 7.30pm to 9.30pm
Venue: Bay Leaves Larder, Hiltingbury Road, Chandler’s Ford SO53 5NQ
Cost: Free

We’d love to see you there!

Book your free place at the Alpha Course site.

It’s worth giving this a go. Opportunities to ask questions, maybe there won’t be an answer – but maybe there is and it might surprise you! This is where you can let your mind run free and discuss What Life is All About! Good questioning and good listening.
