The Park Cat Maisie

October 8, 2015 By SO53 News 2 Comments

Chandler’s Ford resident Caroline sent us this message this evening:

“I would like to thank all the kind people who helped my cat when she was killed outside Fryern recreation park car park today (I wasn’t home at the time).

Some people may know her as The Park Cat but her name was Maisie (black cat with green eyes) and she lived next to the park.”

Maisie and her sister Daisy were rescue cats from St. Francis animal shelter in Fair Oak. Maisie was very popular with visitors to the park especially young children.

She was loved by the general public who visited the park as she was very friendly.

(Editor’s note: Thank you Caroline for sharing this with Chandler’s Ford Today readers. We are sorry about the loss of Maisie.)

    How sad.

We went for a walk through the park yesterday and I think we spotted Maisie wandering towards the gardens. My little boy is just learning his animal names and was very happy to see her. He was attempting to say “cat”.

I’m so sorry for your loss Caroline.
