Snow in Chandler’s Ford by Caroline Jenkins

March 2, 2018 By Caroline Jenkins 2 Comments

My name is Caroline Jenkins and I am an outdoor family photographer. Until last year I was a primary school teacher at a local school in Eastleigh, but decided a change of career was in order when I lost the drive and passion for teaching. So now I have the best of both worlds – I still get to work with children and I get to capture beautiful moments of families having fun together, which will last a lifetime. Now that is job satisfaction.

My photography focus is to run relaxed and natural shoots in the great outdoors – I love children to be enjoying themselves and having a great time, and then I can capture genuine smiles and excitement. I had a winter snow day shoot this morning, and it was absolutely brilliant not only watching the two brothers having such an amazing time, but being able to capture these moments for the whole family to remember and treasure.

So, I have included a few photographs that I think summarise me as a photographer. Natural, fun, genuine, outdoors and happy! They were taken in the fields in Valley Park (thankfully all walking distance) on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd March 2018.

The little boy and the little girl are my children, and the two brothers are for local friends who also live nearby (Lisa and Mike Moreton). The random partridge appeared in our close a couple of years ago, and can be seen often hanging around. We call him Alan, and he loves suet and will now respond to his food bowl being shaken at him – he’s really rather tame and chilled and the kids love him!

So that’s me in a nutshell. If anybody would like more information you can visit outdoor family photographer.

Well done Caroline, nice to see someone follow their passion, and turn it into a buisiness. You clearly have the skills required to capture natural photos, and I wish you every success for the future.
