Support the Alzheimer’s Society by Rotary Club of Chandler’s Ford & Itchen Valley
The year 2013 Event:
On 7 July 2013, Sunday, 2-5pm, The Rotary Club of Chandler’s Ford & Itchen Valley are organising an afternoon at Longstock Park Water Garden with funds raised in support of the Stroke Association.
The garden is praised as ‘the finest water garden in the world’, by International Water Lily Society.
Entrance to the Water Garden is by donation: adults £5, children £1.
Longstock Park Water Garden is owned and managed by the John Lewis Partnership.
The Water Garden is located just outside of Stockbridge, with free car parking. (See map)
The water garden comprises three hectares of woodland garden with lakes and interconnecting islands.

According to the website of Longstock Park, the main lake came into being by accident.
“In 1870, Alfred and Arthur East, the owners of Longstock House, dredged gravel from the banks of the River Test in order to build a private road to the property, creating the lake in the process.”

About Stroke
